The Cell - Twilight's Last Gleaming
Years after the financial crash of 2008, America stumbles from crisis to crisis and continues to slog through the mire of the Great Recession. National healthcare is finally a reality, but has brought with it unintended consequences for the sick, the unwanted, and the growing ranks of the elderly. Political assassinations and bombings have become all too common in the nation's capital. Elected officials rarely leave the safety of the Green Zone that surrounds the Capitol Complex. America's Day of Reckoning - Debt Day - when the U.S. Treasury must borrow just to make the interest payments is less than a year away. Taxes at every level of government continue to rise, further crippling the free market mechanisms of small business and private enterprise. With the passage of the Tolerance in Religion and Media Acts (TIRMA), churches have been forced to register and submit to content monitors, surrendering their rights to assemble and speak freely. The tea-parties and talk-radio - the last voices of opposition to the ever-expanding powers of Washington D.C. - have been all but silenced from the political process. The Spirit of America has been broken. For the first time in history, people are leaving her fair shores for better opportunities in other lands. And though the candles of many churches in America have been extinguished, tiny flames of faith flicker and begin to grow. But on the tenth anniversary of TIRMA, a priest makes final preparations to douse those flames and cut to the heart of the nation. (edited by author)

Grady Harp, a Top 3 Amazon reviewer, adds: "Were there more novels like this astonishing, absorbing and challenging one by M. Salahuddin Khan then perhaps the confusion and chaos of the world response to the seemingly endless wars of the past decades would ease. Khan launches the reader into a maze of pathways of understanding just why we have become so confused...

Caitlin's Wish
Caitlin's Wish is based on a true story. 'Life is good for Caitlin, until her father becomes disabled. Everything changes in Caitlin’s life and she struggles to accept what has happened to her family. She can’t let go of the life she knew before. It seems so unfair! “Why me?” she cries, “Why MY Dad?” She feels so sad and alone. She doesn’t want to upset her family by telling them how she feels. Instead she tells all her troubles to the little robin who sits on her windowsill. Rufus the robin has a plan though! He arranges a magical trip to Fairyland that will change her life forever. This is the story of how Caitlin comes to terms with her Dad’s disability, and learns to be happy again.' “Caitlin’s Wish” was written by Victoria Taylor for her daughter Adele-Caitlin. She was only 2 yrs old when her Dad was diagnosed with a rare brain condition called IH. Initially Adele -Caitlin coped well because she knew no different. However when she started school, she realized that her life was different. She became a very sad little girl. She was too young to access the support networks for young carers, so Victoria wrote this book to help Adele-Caitlin see life from a different perspective. After reading the book she learned to look for the things that her Dad could do, rather than dwell on what he couldn’t do anymore. By focusing on the positive elements in her life, it made it easier to cope with the negative. Caitlin's Wish has been beautifully illustrated by talented artist Claire Wiles and published in the hope that it might help others. 25% of the royalties from every book sold will be going to Crossroads Care and the IH research Foundation. ' A Pictorial Memoir : 23 Years in the Making '
A Pictorial Memoir: 23 years in the making, is a reflection of the hard work and sacrifices faced by many young Americans who unselfishly don the uniform of the U.S. Armed Forces. Each one individually, and respectively has their own story. In this Memoir, I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my story with you the reader, in a Pictorial Memoir. As stated in its' title there is over 20 years of history and experiences contained in this Memoir. It has been accomplished, around the world over, to include The United States, The Central Asian States, The South Pacific, Europe, and The Middle East. It has come with great reward, sacrifice, loss, and healing, however, I have enjoyed it to the utmost. Some of the Photos depict graphic violence, as a result of Operational Contingencies in a combat zone, however most are a result of day to day Operations in a direct leadership environment, that I hope are pleasing to you the reader, and I hope that you enjoy this Memoir, as much as I enjoy sharing it with you. As you flip through this Memoir, I would like for you to keep uppermost in your mind, as I have throughout my career that: “ No One prays for Peace more than a soldier, because it is he that has to make the ultimate sacrifice.” - Tadaram Maradas

' The Other Side of the Game '
Espionage movies have shown how electronic devices can be used to tap into a person’s privacy and discover his most intimate activities. On film, the process looks fascinating and exciting. But in reality, when one becomes the target of surveillance, it is far from a pleasant experience. The Other Side of the Game tells an excerpt from the many excursions in the life series of author Tadaram Maradas. It tells an autobiographical account in which electronic surveillance and remote neural monitoring led him to file a complaint against the police department. In this fascinating true account, the author reveals the details of his surveillance and monitoring, including the official documents that were filed in his complaint and the due process he followed. He also takes time to expound on legal terms to readers such as perjury, slander and others—and how one can proceed with these cases. With an in-depth view of electronic surveillance and an extensive index of useful references, The Other Side of the Game is a fascinating read filled with practical tips and legal advice. Know your rights and fight for them! Honoring the Sacred Earth, A Path to Spiritual Awakening
Many people search for enlightenment for much of their lives. I have studied as many of the world’s religions as I could expose myself to. Although I have finally found the path that is right for me, I acknowledge that my path might not be right for everyone. It is just for this reason I have written “Honoring the Sacred Earth: A Path to Spiritual Awakening”.I wanted to share with others some of the many lessons I have learned over the last twenty years of seeking. I have also tried to share some of the many things that worked for me, but I have done so in a way that would make them available to those who follow paths that are different from mine. I personally believe there are many paths to Spiritual Awakening and Enlightenment, and no path is “more correct” than any other. This world is full of many truths and many ways of thinking, if we open ourselves to this we can learn the many lessons that the Divine Creator has provided. In order to help myself and the readers along this path I have turned to the teachings of many of the greatest teachers of all times. I have also interwoven it with my own experiences, prayer, meditations, and practical exercises to help others find their own paths. Those of us who seek to find the truth in this universe of dreams and illusions with our whole beings realize that this is not an easy task but a journey that can take a lifetime, perhaps more than one depending on your personal beliefs. This book is here to guide you on your first steps on this journey. “Since the dawn of time man has sought spiritual awakening and enlightenment. This is the main goal of most of...

Vice & Verse
Vice & Verse is a collection of 80 poems that explore different styles, forms and themes. The verses are filled with relevant observations and interpretations of the way we live our lives today. Saadia not only draws the reader into her poems through contemporary themes, but also gently guides the reader through sonnet structure and haiku habits. Saadia muses about attraction, a lover’s inattentiveness, sin, seduction and the curious habits of children lost in play. Along the way, she throws back the curtain and lets the reader see the magic behind her work with exquisite explanations of poetic form that accompany many of her entries. Vice & Verse is Saadia's third volume of poetry. Kevin Doyle, best selling author of "How to Marry Money" wrote..."FINALLY! A third volume from provocative Saadia...as usual, a superior example of bold, daring American womanhood." Saadia's newest book is nothing short of a burning and furious romance with words and daily life. She writes about home, insomnia and conversation. Saadia manages to capture thoughts that flash through her mind after updating her twitter feed but before running car pool for her children. Vice & Verse is a deliciously mature x-ray of the soul of today’s woman. Mother, daughter, wife and author, Saadia shares her deepest insights with regard to the world around her with a growing readership.
